Days between two dates

Countdown

What each calculator does

Days between two dates gives the total number of days, a breakdown into years, months and days, and the number of weeks. The start and end are counted as the gap between them, so 1 January to 2 January is 1 day.

Add or subtract days finds the calendar date a set number of days from a starting date, and shows the weekday. It is handy for notice periods, due dates and “90 days from now” questions.

Countdown shows the days, hours and minutes until a time you choose, using your device’s local time. If the time has already passed it shows how long ago it was.

Worked example

Adding 90 days to 13 October 2026 gives 11 January 2027, a Monday. Counting from 1 September to 31 December of the same year gives 121 days.

Good to know

  • Dates are treated as calendar days, so daylight saving changes and time zones do not affect the first two calculators.
  • The countdown uses the time zone of the device you are using, so set the target in that time zone. Use the time converter if the event is in another country.
