Privacy policy
This policy explains what Gulfwise (the “site”, at abhinavt.in) does with information. The site is operated by Muhammed Nuhman P, Areekode, Kerala, India.
Information you type into the tools
Calculators run in your browser. Amounts, dates, phone numbers and messages you enter are not sent to our servers and we do not store them. The Shared expense splitter and other tools keep values only on your screen.
Information stored on your device
- A cached copy of exchange rates, so the converter does not download them on every visit.
- Your cookie choice, if the consent banner is shown.
You can clear these at any time through your browser settings.
Exchange-rate data
When the currency tools load, your browser contacts a third-party rates service (ExchangeRate-API, open.er-api.com). That provider can see your IP address, as any website does, but receives none of the amounts you enter.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It sets cookies and collects data such as pages viewed, approximate location, browser and device type. It does not receive what you type into the tools. Learn more at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Server logs
Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and troubleshooting.
Advertising
When advertising is enabled, we use Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on visits to our sites and other sites on the internet. Children
The site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your rights
Because we do not collect personal accounts, there is little to access or delete. If you email us, we use your address only to reply, and you can ask us to delete the correspondence.
