Money transfer offer comparison
Type in the fee and exchange rate each provider shows you. The tool works out how much arrives and which offer gives the most for every unit you pay.
Offers to compare
Exchange-rate data by ExchangeRate-API.
How the comparison works
A low fee does not always mean a cheap transfer, because a weaker exchange rate can cost more than the fee itself. This tool puts both together. For each offer it calculates what you pay in total and what the recipient receives, then divides one by the other. That last figure, “per 1 paid”, is the fairest way to rank offers: the highest number wins.
If you also enter a mid-market rate, the table shows how far each offer is below it. That number is the full hidden cost of the transfer, fee included, as a percentage.
Worked example
You want to send 1,000 AED. Offer A charges a 10 AED fee on top and gives 23.9 INR per dirham. You pay 1,010 AED and your family receives 23,900 INR, so each dirham you pay delivers about 23.66 INR. Offer B charges no fee but gives 23.6 INR per dirham. You pay 1,000 AED and your family receives 23,600 INR, which is 23.60 per dirham. Offer A is slightly better despite its fee.
Good to know
- Use the rate shown at the moment you confirm the transfer. Rates in apps can change within minutes.
- Some providers show “zero fee” but build their margin into the rate. This tool catches that.
- Delivery speed, payout method and limits also matter and are not included in the calculation.
- Nothing you type here is stored or sent anywhere.
Frequently asked questions
Which fee option should I choose?
Look at the provider’s confirmation screen. If it shows “amount + fee = total”, choose “added on top”. If the fee is subtracted from the amount you entered, choose “taken out”.
What is a mid-market rate?
It is the midpoint between the global buying and selling prices for a currency pair, with no margin added. It is the benchmark for judging an offer.
Can I compare different currencies?
Compare offers for the same pair, for example AED to INR. Choose the currencies at the top so the table labels are correct.
